CrossFit’s methodology is constantly varied, functional movement, performed at high intensity - push, pull, hinge, squat, build strength & your aerobic system. The stated goal is to create "the quintessential athlete, equal parts gymnast, Olympic weightlifter, and sprinter." CrossFit promotes broad and general overall physical fitness. It is not sport-specific. CrossFit features varied workouts based on functional movement performed at high intensity. Workouts begin with a group warm up lasting about 5-10 minutes. The main workouts can be brief (often 20 minutes or less) and do not use traditional weight machines.
CrossFit maintains that proficiency is required in each of 10 fitness domains: Cardiovascular/respiratory endurance, stamina, strength, flexibility, power, speed, agility, balance, coordination, and accuracy.
CrossFit trains for the unknown, which best represents life. CrossFit uses free weights, medicine balls, kettle bells , gymnastics rings, plyo boxes, pull-up bars and many calisthenics exercises. CrossFit may call on athletes to run, row, climb ropes, jump up on boxes, flip giant tires, and carry odd objects.

WOD stands for Workout Of the Day. Our WODS are posted on our website weekly, so you can see the fun for the week! We warm-up together, go through the day’s movements together, and then perform the WOD together. You will be trained by coaches that focus on your safety and advancement of skill. Group WODs develop teamwork, camaraderie, motivation and family!
Most people are intimidated by CrossFit! For this reason, we developed our Fundamental Program. This program was developed for beginner CrossFitters. It will prove to you that CROSSFIT IS FOR EVERYONE! We believe this so strongly, that we changed our name to this motto! So how do we prove this to you? We have you start with this three-step process that safely introduces you to the exciting world of CrossFit.
We will start with a tour of the CF4E facility and explain how everything runs in our CrossFit Box (gym). Then we will go through some of the foundational skills, lifts, and lifts of CrossFit and put your through a WOD (work out of the day). You will learn the essential skills of CrossFit that will enable you to participate in regular WODs. We will teach you proper form and mechanics of barbell movements, including the Olympic lifts. Above all, you will understand how to modify and scale these skills to your ability. (Proving that CrossFit is for everyone, including you!)
After your 1st session, you will decide if CrossFit works for you. If you want to continue, we will discuss our various membership options and decide which one is for you. Then we we will schedule your 2nd FREE PERSONAL TRAINING SESSION. We will go over more of the essential skills and lifts that will help you in WODs.
After that you will be permitted to attend the regular coached WODs. You will be doing our SCALED version of the WODs for at least 2 weeks.
Then you will be able to start building up into the full workouts.
Open Gym: This is a time slot in which you can choose your own workout or work on skills that you want to develop. You will be on your own to run your workout.
Fundamental Class: This class is for all new CrossFitters. There are three Fundamental classes that should be completed before you begin attending regular classes. After you have completed three private lessons you will feel more comfortable with the skills which will enable you to succeed in the regular WODs.
